Restart touchbar pro#
My Macbook Pro 13" (2019 - 4 thunderbolt 3 ports) - When I leave my Macbook idle for about 10 minutes and try to turn it back on, the touchbar would give out a white flash and stops working completely. I would appreciate some help, thank you ! It just keeps shutting off after a while.
Restart touchbar software#
I'm almost sure this is more of a software issue than a hardware issue as the touchbar works very well right after I restart my computer. When it goes black, it also seems to not show up in the Keyboard settings. Other times it goes black and completely irresponsive. I also want to add that sometimes the Touch Bar screen goes black but I can still touch it and activate Siri. In the Terminal window, type sudo pkill TouchBarServer and press Enter. I also tried manually restarting the touchbar from the terminal but it still didn't help. Start the Finder and then search for 'terminal.' Double-click Terminal when you see it in the Finder. It solved the issue for a day but then again the computer went to sleep for a few hours and when I opened it back up, the problem is still there. I contacted the apple support, they sent me a page to restart the SMC, which I did. I restarted my computer, it started working again, until I put my computer in sleep mode and when I opened it back up, it was gone again. The Touch Bar randomly shut down one day. Again it just restarts whenever you use it for like maybe 3 minutes, and the Touch Bar doesn’t show icons, but you still can toggle the volume what not.I seem to be having a problem with my Touch Bar on my 2019 13 inch 2 thunderbolt MacBook Pro. Everything works fine, the display works properly as well the touch pad, and keyboard. I really wanna fix this for my sister, and not let her pay for anything, cause Apple is a overpriced on everything.ītw. So what else can I do, maybe I could try resetting, but will it actually fix the problem? I’ve tried the others like NVRAM, and PRAM reset, but I don’t think you’re suppose to do it with the newer models (with the T2 chip), but besides that it didn’t work. And I don’t think it worked, or maybe I did not do it correctly. For some reason, the touch Bar kind of lights up when powering on. Touch Bar doesn’t show icons, but turning the volume, brightness what not still works. The bottom of the MacBook gets hot, but fans are working.Ģ.

This happens when you use the Mac for a short amount of time. MacBook restarts “your MacBook restarted due to a problem”, probably kernel panic. After she dropped it, she began having problems.ġ. So what happened was, she dropped her MacBook off her bed which was around 2 feet high, and it has a dent at the top right corner of the edge. I have a MacBook Pro 2018 13inch display with the Touch Bar.
